- Collaborate with other departments locally in order to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure that all employees receive the designated food safety & quality training. Deliver and share the training materials, templates, procedures
- Support the execution of Food and health and safety inspections by gathering preliminary data and following up on the status of identified hazards or environmental concerns.
- Provide administrative support in the documentation of serious customer complaint escalations locally.
- Act as the initial filter for food safety and quality management queries, escalating technical or legal matters to the Specialist or Legal team as needed.
- Assist in the logistical coordination of product withdrawals, recalls, and serious incidents by tracking progress and maintaining records.
- Help monitor the completion of local food safety authority enforcement actions to ensure deadlines are met.
- Collect information on regulatory developments and assist in organizing internal measures accordingly.
- Assist in identifying procedures that require updates based on operational or regulatory shifts.
- Maintain the documentation library for product assortment (specifications, labeling, and supplier info) and follow up with external laboratories to ensure testing schedules are met.
- Facilitate the mystery shopper and product sampling activities at the store level.
- Compile data for regular reports to help prepare management reviews and track food safety objectives.
- Health & Safety
- Support the execution of the H&S inspection programme and follow up with departments to ensure the close-out of corrective actions.
- Assist in distributing H&S priority updates to staff to maintain consistent communication.
- Assist in the collection of evidence and statements during investigations into accidents and near misses.
- Follow up on maintenance plan schedules with local operations to ensure H&S safeguards remain active.
- Support the delivery of H&S training sessions and ensure all staff competency records are filed and updated accurately.
What Did We Order?
Degree in food science or related field
3+ years of experience managing Food Safety and Quality/ Health and Safety in a large scale retail grocery, foodservice or manufacturing environment
Fluent proficiency in the local language(s) and English
Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments/evaluations and provide recommendations for risk mitigation or hazard identification.
Ability to maintain appropriate current knowledge of the HACCP knowledge and H&S Standards
Experience leveraging technology to manage process
Program management and experience of managing program change across multiple store locations
Knowledge of food safety of local/regional laws and regulations and food trading standards
Experience interacting and engaging with Authorities
Demonstrated organizational skills and detailed orientation and ability to manage competing priorities.
Maintain effective working relationships and foster teamwork in a diverse work group.
